About Adam
Adam’s five and why he loves them:
Cornish Yarg
Showcased at Adam’s Cornwall restaurant, the Ugly Butterfly, and a cheese he absolutely loves.
“Yarg showcases the hand-craftmanship, skill and care that goes into making great food, with every cheese wrapped in nettles by hand.”
Witheridge
A feature at The Loch & The Tyne, Adam’s pub in Old Windsor.
“Using as many parts of our ingredients is core to our ethos, so I absolutely love the fact that Nettlebed Creamery use the hay from their farm to age their cheese – layering more flavour of the land.”
St Andrews Farmhouse
“There’s a real power in the sense of environment and how well a product reflects the land it came from. That’s what makes St Andrews Farmhouse cheddar so special…and that it’s produced so close to where I grew up!”
Eastwood
A cheesegeek exclusive cheese that has been a feature on the tasting menu at 1* Michelin restaurant Frog, by Adam Handling.
“The UK produces cheese that rivals the best in the world, and Eastwood is a Brie de Meaux style cheese but with an unmistakably British edge to it that works so perfectly in my cheese dish at Frog – Eastwood, cherry bakewell. Delish!”
Harrogate Blue
“This was the first cheese from cheesegeek that we put on our menu at Frog, and we absolutely loved it. A perfect balance of creaminess, richness and sharpness, a complex blue cheese.”
Cloudberry Jam
Great cheese deserves a great condiment and there's nothing better than Cloudberry Jam
