Clothbound and matured for 6 month, Quicke's Goat is rich, deep and earthy with complex notes of Almond and a hint of horseradish towards the rind.

The Quicke's family was instrumental in bringing artisan cheese to the forefront in Britain, one of the first producers to break away from the milk marketing board in the late early 80s. Mary Quicke has mentored many of the industry's greats and was instrumental in founding the Academy of Cheese. The Quicke family date back 16 generations with the dissolution of the monasteries by Henry the 8th making way for the Quicke family to thrive. Quicke's is a traditional clothbound cheese maker and has a very distinctive rind.

This cheese is one of my favourites and converts all goat cheese haters. It has a very distinct white colour due to the lack of beta carotene in the milk it is very simliar to a cheddar make but due to it not being made from cows milk can’t be categorize as a cheddar.

Delivery is FREE and it comes in a climate control box (the only in the industry) that comes with a 48 hour freshness guarantee. If that wasn't enough, we also add an insert that will talk you through the info on the cheeses, tasting notes and a scorecard to help you make the very most of your festive cheesegeek delivery.

During checkout, you will be able to select your preferred delivery date. This is great if you're buying as a gift or are organising your cheese in advance. The cheese will be packed in chilled, insulated boxes (that look great!) and will always be prepared on the day it is dispatched. A few other handy pointers:

- We use DHL nationwide and Packfleet within the M25

- Please use the delivery date you have selected as a guide rather than a guarantee.

- Your cheese will arrive in the best condition. It will have been prepared freshly and will not have been with our courier beyond our maximum of 48hrs

- You will receive delivery notifications for when your order is dispatched that mean you can track when it’s in transit

If you aren’t in for your delivery, this won’t matter. Our couriers will leave your cheese in you designated safe place in our climate controlled packaging.

We’re a small business working with an (incredible) perishable product. For advice on delivery or any cheesy questions, get in touch via the live chat or on hello@thecheesegeek.com
