Vintage- and not in a shabby chic, chalk paint way...Quicke's Vintage is just old. Quicke's the makers date back to 1540 with this being one of their oldest recipes. Then there is this beauty called Vintage itself, which is matured for 24 months. What does this mean for the cheese? For us, it brings huge depth of flavour, with each mouthful taking you on a journey from umami to butter, to salted caramel. With striking flavours of bitter horseradish and vinegary mustard, It comes with just the right amount of crumble - rich, intense and ladened with awards. This is a cheeseboard essential.

Delivery is FREE and it comes in a climate control box (the only in the industry) that comes with a 48 hour freshness guarantee. If that wasn't enough, we also add an insert that will talk you through the info on the cheeses, tasting notes and a scorecard to help you make the very most of your festive cheesegeek delivery.

During checkout, you will be able to select your preferred delivery date. This is great if you're buying as a gift or are organising your cheese in advance. The cheese will be packed in chilled, insulated boxes (that look great!) and will always be prepared on the day it is dispatched. A few other handy pointers:

- We use DHL nationwide and Packfleet within the M25

- Please use the delivery date you have selected as a guide rather than a guarantee.

- Your cheese will arrive in the best condition. It will have been prepared freshly and will not have been with our courier beyond our maximum of 48hrs

- You will receive delivery notifications for when your order is dispatched that mean you can track when it’s in transit

If you aren’t in for your delivery, this won’t matter. Our couriers will leave your cheese in you designated safe place in our climate controlled packaging.

We’re a small business working with an (incredible) perishable product. For advice on delivery or any cheesy questions, get in touch via the live chat or on hello@thecheesegeek.com

Meet the Maker

Quicke's farm, established in 1540 uses traditional techniques and heritage starters passed down through generations. Their cheese is a delicacy, which is made in celebration with the deep connection that has grown between the Quicke family and the land they have nurtured for almost 500 years.
